This weekend with friends and family has been a blast. I will make this post short. I would recommend watching or owning the movie Gran Torino. It is a good movie and I am sure you will enjoy it.
Funny Quote from the Movie:
Clint met a kid at his neighbor's basement, where the kids congregate from various families. At this part of the movie Clint's neighbor invited Clint over for some festivities.
Walt(Clint Eastwood): What is your name?
Youa(Girl): Youa
Walt:Yuam, a pleasure (Sounds like You yum)
Youa:No Youa
Walt: Ok Yum Yum pleasure!
At this point of the movie, Clint Eastwood was drinking TsinTao Beer, it is hilarious to see a cowboy like Clint drinking Chinese beer.
Walt later walks over to Thao and told him Youa likes him:
Walt: Well you are blowing it with that girl who was there.
Thao: You dont know what you are talking about.
Walt: You are wrong Eggroll, I know exactly what I am talking about.
Walt: But you, you know, you are letting Click Clack, Ding Dong and Charlie Chan walk out with what is her face....
Thao: Who?
Walt: Yum Yum
Yes when all humor fails funny stereotypes and hard to pronounce Asian names saves the day. I enjoyed the humor and I think Clint did his best trying to NOT offend Asian people. Gran Torino is actually a very meaningful movie. Hope you enjoyed it as much as I did. Peace!

Karl Strauss, Late Night and Carlsbad in the Rain
I have been fighting off my cold for a week and a half. It is not the most pleasant feeling in the world but we are human and even Superman is afraid of the kyptonite. My sleeping habits can be better and 4-5 hours is not exactly healthy for my cold or my much needed glycogen in my muscles. Last night, it was a blast celebrated my friends birthday at Karl Strauss, I would recommend getting their pork chops next time you visit, it is really good. On top of that I even got my friend a Karl Strauss Logo glass, pretty neat. I also saved a portion of my Karl Strauss porkchop for my Monday's lunch. It was a good night.....
***POST EDITED because of Sloey.....***
Check this out: http://www.bls.gov/news.release/empsit.nr0.htm (Unemployment)
And this:
1- In the Asian, African and Latin American countries, well over 500 million people are living in what the World Bank has called "absolute poverty"
2- 3 billion people in the world today struggle to survive on US$2/day.
3- Every year 15 million children die of hunger
4 - Every 3.6 seconds someone dies of hunger
5 - To satisfy the world's sanitation and food requirements would cost only US$13 billion- what the people of the United States and the European Union spend on perfume each year. (WTF perfume?)
So I thought about other peoples problems and all the sudden it seems like my problems are A LOT smaller.
There are a lot of problems in this world, how are we making it a better place?

A Cat named Adam and a Oompa Loompa named Manish
Last Saturday, the 18th I had a chance to catch up with some friends from college. An Oompa Loompa man we call Manish and Hairy Bigfoot man we call Adam. There is also Jen, whom I have a lot of respect for so I have no nicknames for her. =) I did not really spent that much time with them in college but I would see them from time to time. Sometimes I look back and wonder if I spent time to solidify the friendships I had in college?
I still have few friends I kept in touch with after highschool and college. I even kept in touch with my old math teach and my sunday school teachers. I wonder if I have a criteria for picking my friends? Or do I just pick them randomly? I ran into Matt, Adam and Manish at gospel choir but I wonder is that where it got started? Or did it start when we had dinner together? playing ball together? There are certain friendships that is beyond words, it just works. Things are different, Adam now has a beautiful girlfriend, Manish is now back in California. They are still the guys I remember from college, love life and love people.
Unlike Matt's last post about his melatonin, I am going to make this post as relevant as possible about Adam and Manish. I hope to get to know these guys better in the future. And Matt too, there are still things about Matt I am not sure about. As Matt is finishing up law school and the time he still have here in San Diego, I hope we get to know each other better. Good times good times.
This last Friday 24th was my company's holiday party. Nevermind what happend at the party, but my trip there was a sight to see. Around 6pm to 6:30pm driving on Carlsbad Dr gives you a nice view of the beach and the coast line. It was beautiful, as the sun was setting, the color and the wind was just perfect. A nice golden glow as sun sets for the horizon and as the waves gently brush up on the beach I realize my week was coming to an end. There is tomorrow where the waves will be high and fierce. If I have a chance I would like to rent a glider and glide across the ocean not into the sun but maybe along the coast and second thing I would like to do is....well I keep that a secret for the time being. Till next time...
Hope you still have some steam left,

Dude, where's my melatonin?
Some thoughts:
I suspect that pretty much everyone over the age of 22 and under the age of 40 knows the words to My Heart Will Go On by Celine Dion. My anecdotal evidence is that I was in the car driving to school the other day and that song came on and just for fun I decided to not switch the station. Now, I have NEVER liked that song. I didn't like Titanic. I thought they were both sentimental, girls-make-your-boyfriends-buy-it trash. I honestly have made an effort to NOT listen to that song for as long as I can remember. So after I was still singing along at the end of the second verse I realized that without ever trying to, I totally had all the words memorized. This led to a disturbing thought, what other useless crap that I REALLY DON'T want to know is stuck somewhere in my brain, taking up space that I could use for some of my friends birthdays or something.
I was thinking about the term "coed" recently, as in "coed softball". I feel like 25 years ago a female college student was just referred to as a coed. Like five dollar cover charge, coeds get in free kind of thing. Anyway, I might be wrong about that but I usually assume I'm right. So then I began to think about how that's probably considered a little demeaning these days and I've never actually heard someone call a college girl a coed. What I do hear about a lot is coed sports. I'm not sure what it is, but I think there's some kind of implication there when coed used to just mean "college girl" and now it means "guys and girls playing sports together". Its up to you to pursue that thought any further.
I guess that's all I got tonight. It is after 5am, I think I'm gonna try to sleep.
Well, the night train keeps on chuggin',

Introduction
Hello!
This will be my first post on Changheim Steamroller. I still need to find out how Heimmer came up with the name. Knowing Matt all these years I have a feeling that he will respond with the following reasons:
1) I was up at 2:07am working on my law paper.
2) Trains are better than airplanes because if both engine fails, trains are already on the ground.
3) I was ironing my clothes....
I am not sure if it is a mix of those or just one of those.
I will ponder about what is Knowledge this week... I was reading my Bible this morning and saw the word knowledge in the following passage. Moral Excellence and knowledge. More to ponder about.....
2 Peter 1
4 For by these He has granted to us His precious and magnificent promises, so that by them you may become partakers of the divine nature, having escaped the corruption that is in the world by lust. 5 Now for this very reason also, applying all diligence, in your faith supply moral excellence, and in your moral excellence, knowledge, 6 and in your knowledge, self-control, and in your self-control, perseverance, and in your perseverance, godliness, 7 and in your godliness, brotherly kindness, and in your brotherly kindness, love. 8 For if these qualities are yours and are increasing, they render you neither useless nor unfruitful in the true knowledge of our Lord Jesus Christ.

All aboard! The Changheim Steamroller is up and running. Yes, its 2am on a Tuesday. This is one of the few benefits of insomnia. Fortunately for you, you get to benefit from my sleepless dream. The blog entries that follow here will be the collaborative work of Andrew Chang and Matt Heim (after I tell Andrew about this). Check back regularly to get some knowledge dropped on ya, or at least have a laugh.
Now leaving the station,
